The effects of COVID-19 can be seen and felt across the world. But its impact on Osceola County is hard to measure. To “slow the spread,” many businesses, from brick and mortars to conglomerates, have closed their doors temporarily. Laying off employees and suspending businesses have severely impacted residents in their ability to provide for their families. In efforts to lessen the unexpected financial burden taken on by Osceola County residents, Osceola REDI, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has put together an initiative to raise $100,000 to help fund local food pantries.
From now through the end of June 2020, Osceola REDI has partnered with SecondHarvest and Osceola County to raise $100,000 to help families living in Osceola County feed their families during these unprecedented times. No matter how “small” a donation may seem, its impact can be the determining factor in how many families will be supported. Donations can be made online or via mail. Checks should be made payable to Osceola REDI and mailed to 704 Generation Point #101, Kissimmee FL 34744.
